Novels, TV, Movies and Dreams

I've clearly grown up in these past few years of my life, I guess that is what happens when you finally realize what you really want to do for life, the very thing that moves and makes you feel alive. That is exactly what acting, writing, and fashion design are for me.

I've ventured out to achieve my goals and start living my life even though I am far away from the place where the magic stems from. This is where your imagination, creativity and determination will guide you along the way in order to reach the dream and live the Pop Life.

Some people are born naturally lucky to be in the appropriate place, at the appropriate time and surrounded by the appropriate people; some others have to work to even get to the place where all the magic and fun happens.

Right now I remain far away from such place, L.A is a distant place in the horizon but little by little, step by step I see my safe closer to it and the dream will cease to be such and become a reality. Hard work will pay off and that's when the fun part will begin! It's never too late to achieve your goals...the trick is to get your own ball rolling!

Speaking of movies, I've always been a movie buff, I simply adore them and so far I've seen a couple this year that are truly great!

*Watchmen
*The Terminator Salvation
*
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
*Angels & Demons

*Taken

In terms of books, that is another passion of mine...last year I became infatuated with the beautiful love story of Bella Swan & Edward Cullen...although I was not entirely satisfied with the movie version of "Twilight" I did appreciate the translation into the movie and the characterization of all the characters in particular the vampire ones, as well as the wits and charisma of the human ones.

Such was my fascination that I became so inspired by the nature of the story to venture out and write my own fantasy, paranormal, and out of this world love stories. I am currently working on my first work of fiction, for which I already have the tittle and the writing
is
flowing beautifully...I've never before experienced this rush of unexpected bliss which I am absolutely thankful for. I needed to relieve myself from all the stress that an 8 hour day, dead end job offers our mortal souls.

I guess I had completely forgotten Descartes famous words: "I think therefore I am" so the lesson is loud and clear, we all have the innate ability to go either of both ways, to bury ourselves in depression and gloom; or on the other hand to get ourselves out there exactly where we want to be, doing the things we were meant to be doing. Never get stuck...the sky is the limit! Creativity & Imagination are POWERFUL TOOLS!!!!!!!

Keeping up with the subject of my favorite mythical creatures "Vampires", I am happy to report that the CW network is expected to bring us "The Vampire Diaries" as TV show based on the novel series with the same tittle by author L.J. Smith this fall.

"The Vampire Diaries - The official site of The Vampire Diaries, coming this fall to The CW. Two vampire brothers - one good, one evil - are at war for Elena's soul in the small town of Mystic Falls, Virginia. Based on the series of books by L. J. Smith. CAST: Nina Dobrev Paul Wesley Ian Somerhalder Steven R. McQueen Sara Canning Katerina Graham Candice Accola Zach Roerig Kayla Ewell Michael Trevino Chris William Martin."

'Twilight' for television: The CW orders pilot for 'Vampire Diaries'

Vampirediaries_l Twilight fans, your beloved bloodsucker saga is about to get some competition. Today, The CW announced that they're are picking up a pilot based on the popular vampire teen book series, Vampire Diaries. Originally written in 1993 by L.J. Smith, Diaries is an Alloy Entertainment property, the same company responsible for the book versions of Gossip Girl and Privileged. The plot revolves around a love triangle between a small-town girl and two vampire brothers. The series will be executive produced by Dawson's Creek creator Kevin Williamson (also responsible for the horror classic Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer).

Personally, I can't wait. First of all, I'm a sucker for anything on The CW. Secondly, Williamson is great with teens and horror. And finally, it's nice for the network to expand its programming slightly. I mean Diaries doesn't exactly sound groundbreaking, but at least it's not just another series about rich, pretty young people who are, ya know, rich and pretty. What do you think Pop Watchers...and Twilight fans? Is there room enough in the pop culture universe for ANOTHER vampire romance?
